With last update, I cant start app

Updates used to have a good connotation, but what Ive gone through with a few other apps and now this one leaves me wanting to never update an app again. Since I have a subscription, Ill need to get a refund if this isnt fixed. My IOS version is 7.12 (Ive learned my lesson with IOS), which is supposed to be still supported. With past updates, I had issues with this app not recognizing my account. Now I cant even run it!!

Update: It occurred to me that if I deleted & reinstalled, it might clear up the problem and it did. Now I have to re-download all of the courses Ive already taken.
